The LCIC recognizes that owning a home requires ongoing maintenance and financial commitment; therefore, we have partnered with the City of Lima’s Department of Housing and Neighborhoods to offer a down payment assistance program (First Home Lima) for households buying their first home in Lima with an income below 80% of the median income. Homebuyers may earn up to $14,999 toward down payment and closing costs by participating in the First Home Lima Housing Counseling Program. Property sales are limited to $209,000 for single-family units and $268,000 for duplex units.
