Infill Development
The LCIC has partnered with several builders to increase the housing stock in Lima’s neighborhood. Construction of a 3 bedroom/2 bath home is underway at 416 Hazel Avenue. Construction of the home is underway and expected to be completed later this Summer. The home will be sold to a new family. Additional homes are also planned on South Metcalf and Holly Streets.
The LCIC continues to reach out to area home builders to provide quotes for a variety of homes that will be built on the vacant City Land Bank parcels in Lima’s neighborhoods. The LCIC believes that, through homeownership, people more effectively build financial security and stability. Owning a home correlates to increased social and political involvement, improved health and educational achievement.
